All season rooms in Corona CA - a room you can use every month of the year
Patio too hot in August and too chilly in January? We build a heated, cooled and insulated room you'll actually use all year.

What is an all season room, and is it worth it for a Corona home?
An all season room in Corona is a fully enclosed addition with its own heating, cooling and all-weather windows, so you can sit in it on a hot summer afternoon or a cold winter evening instead of only on the mild days in between.
Most people who call us have a patio or a cover they'd like to use for more of the year, and the first thing I ask is whether the room needs to be heated and cooled, because three season sunrooms and enclosed patios generally aren't and keep the build simpler. The price mostly follows the size of the room, whether it needs a new foundation, and the heating, air conditioning, glass and insulation you choose, while the schedule turns on what the city needs for your address before we can build. Your own figure comes from the written estimate after I've seen the space.
What happens after you ask about an all season room in Corona?
Call or send us a message
Tell us a little about your patio or the room you have in mind, and we'll set a time for me to come out. I look at the space, check what the room would sit on and take measurements.
Get your estimate in writing
You get a written estimate showing the room type, the materials and what's included, so you can see exactly what a heated and cooled room adds compared with a simpler one. Nothing is scheduled until you've read it and agreed to it.
We check with the city
Before the job goes on the calendar, we check what your city or county building office expects for your address. The build date follows from what that office needs from us.
We build and walk through
Our installers and I build the room together, so I'm on site through the work rather than handing it off. Before we call it complete, I walk through the finished room with you.
How we build an all season room
When you want a room you can use every month, I plan the heating, cooling, insulation and windows into the first design, because insulated walls, floors, roofs and windows are much easier to put in while the room goes up, and adding them later can often cost more. We start with what the room sits on, whether that's your existing slab or a new foundation, since a room is only as good as its base. Then we frame the walls and roof, set the all-weather windows, insulate the walls, floor and roof, and seal the joints carefully before the finish work, so the room holds the temperature you're paying to keep.
Not every room needs all of that. If you mostly want shade and shelter from wind and dust, an enclosed patio room keeps the build simpler, and I'm glad to lay the two options side by side for you. If you'd like as much light as possible, with glass overhead as well, solarium installation is the other direction we'd suggest, though more glass means planning more carefully for the summer sun.

All season room questions from Corona homeowners
What's the difference between a four season room and a three season room?
A four season room is fully enclosed, heated and cooled, and has all-weather windows, while a three season room generally isn't heated or cooled and has uninsulated windows or screens. In Corona that mostly comes down to whether you want to use the room through the summer heat and on cold nights, or mainly in spring and fall. We'd suggest settling that first, because it shapes the whole design.
How much does an all season room cost near Corona, CA?
A 200 sq ft four season sunroom in Riverside County usually costs about $30,000 to $60,000 per room, which is the going range in the area and not our quote. Where your room lands depends on its size and what it needs, and your written estimate shows your own number.
How much can a contractor ask for up front on a sunroom in California?
The state contractors board says a down payment can be no more than $1,000 or 10 percent of the contract price, whichever is less. After that, payments follow the work completed or the materials delivered, so you pay as the room goes up.
Does a fire hazard zone change how a sunroom is built in Corona?
Yes, if your home is in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, the city requires the project to meet the state building code's fire zone rules. The fire department has also said that once its newer hazard map is adopted, structures in High zones meet the same standards as Very High zones, so it's worth knowing which zone your address is in. We check that for your address before we choose materials.
How do I find out if my all season room needs a permit in Corona?
The City of Corona sets the permit path for your room, so the place to start is the city's plan check requirements for your project. One of the city's submittal checklists asks for energy calculations, soils reports and proof of state and city licenses from every contractor and subcontractor, so ask any builder who will prepare those papers. We're licensed and insured, and when your room calls for a permit, we prepare the paperwork and work through the process with you.
How do I keep a sunroom from overheating in Corona?
Start with the glass, because one study of building energy use found the solar heat gain coefficient, a rating of how much of the sun's heat comes through, mattered most for cutting cooling energy, and found glass rated under 0.3 useful. The state's Energy Code also sets efficiency requirements for additions to existing homes, and the city lists Corona in Climate Zone 10 for that work. We go over glass options with you when we plan the room.
